About
I am a Scientist, Software Architect that works on distributed systems. I am a Sri Lankan. I have done lot of work on Web services (Axis, Axis2, Geronimo), E-science (LEAD Project), and Grid (GFac) in last few years. In general, I am interested in problems related to distributed architectures, distributed communication models (e.g. Pub/Sub system, P2P systems, Group communications, gossip), their scalability characteristics, and system integration. I have been involved with Apache Web service project since 2002 and was invited for Apache Member ship in 2005. I am also a PMC member of Apache Web Service project, Committer of Apache Axis, Axis2, and Geronimo, and a co-founder of Apache Axis2. I received my Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2009). Currently, I live in Sri Lanka with my wife Miyuru, and work as a Architect in WSO2. I enjoy reading books, watching movies, documentaries, when I can find time.
